Care of Roses:

When you receive your box of roses, fill a vase with cool water and use the package of floral preservative according to directions.  Re-cut roses under water if possible with a sharp knife on an angle.  Take off any leaves below the water line as you put the roses in the vase.  Keep them in a cool place, away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, drafts, and never on top of a TV or radiator.

Floral Foam Arrangements:

When your flowers are arranged in floral foam, keep the floral foam soaked with water.  Check daily.

Water Vase Arrangements:

Keep the vase filled with water.  If the water becomes cloudy, replace it entirely.  If possible, re-cut the stems by removing 1 inch with a sharp knife.

Life of Flowers:

Certain varieties of flowers have a longer vase life than others.  Carnations for example can remain vibrant for a longer time than more delicate and lush flowers, prized for their beauty.  The proper care of your flowers can extend their life.
